Refunds & Cancellation

Intro

SmartLogic SEO sells SEO services — one-off deliverables and monthly retainers — not physical goods or bookable appointments. This policy sets out how cancellation and refunds work for each.

One-off deliverables

(audits, the Content Strategy Sprint, the Digital PR Campaign)

If you cancel before work has commenced, you receive a full refund. Once work has commenced, a refund is pro-rated against the proportion of the stated scope actually delivered at the point of cancellation — for example, if a crawl and initial findings have been completed but the report and walkthrough call have not, you're refunded for the undelivered portion. To cancel, email support@smartlogicseo.com.

Monthly retainers

(Foundation, Growth, Scale)

Retainers run on a rolling monthly basis with a 3-month initial term. After the initial term, either party may cancel with 30 days' written notice. There is no refund for a month of a retainer that has already commenced — you're billed for, and we deliver, the full month regardless of the cancellation date within it. Cancelling mid-term (within the first 3 months) requires payment of the fees for the remaining months of that initial term, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Your right to withdraw (consumers only — B2C)

If you're a consumer (buying in a personal, non-business capacity) based in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of order, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Because our services are digital/professional deliverables that we typically begin promptly after order, placing an order and requesting that work start immediately constitutes your express request for us to begin before the 14-day period ends. Under Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive, this means your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed; if work has only partially begun when you withdraw, you'll be charged a proportionate amount for what's been delivered, and refunded the remainder. To withdraw, email support@smartlogicseo.com within 14 days of your order, stating clearly that you wish to withdraw. Business (B2B) buyers do not have a statutory withdrawal right under this clause — see the one-off/retainer terms above instead, which apply to all buyers.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of the refund being agreed.

What doesn't get refunded

Deliverables already completed and provided to you in full (e.g. a delivered audit report), and any month of a retainer already commenced, are not refundable.
